
Fernando Arquines, aka pr0teus, began playing tenor saxophone in the 6th grade, quickly becoming adept at translating thought into sound. Throughout junior-high and high school, he earned many improvisation awards at regional jazz festivals. He first became acquainted with "techno/electronica" in 1997, and was quickly inspired to create some music of his own.
After high school, with nothing but a computer, he began writing music with "tracker programs" -- first Octamed on the Amiga 2000; then Impulse Tracker on a 486 PC. [read more...]
