Tidal was an post hardcore quintet who played a unique kind of music, influenced by hardcore and punk rock, played with an emotional, sturm und drang like intensity, flanked by various rhythmical and melodic references from prog rock to Latin and Hawaii sounds.

One of Tidal's main characteristics are the dynamics they used in their music. Most of the songs themselves varied in speed, loudness and mood, which makes any Tidal record a pleasant listen with something new to discover after many a listen.
