In their story the boys from DORTMUND/GERMANY tell about an unknown goddess, that will revive from the ruins of monotheism at the end of all emancipation.
Prospered as the result of metrosexual non-moral values, she becomes the director of a smart resistance, elegantly truculent, but full of mercy.
SHE fights hell fire viciously, but is untouchable due to the purity of her soul!

On their fourth studio album THE CHEEKS' music has reached the point, where ROCK N ROLL DANDIES can enjoy the decadence of their purism to the fullest.
Where all and everyone is just another elementary particle of an endless retro-cosmos, THE CHEEKS serve their artistic love of experimantation/BEAT, combined with their mentality of conquering/PUNK.

More darkly and reduced versus the orchestral RAW COUNTRYSIDE (2006) arises their POPSIKE in 2012.
Like the soundtrack to a futuristic FILM NOIR! Where digital effects will be sunken in vortex of banality, melodramatical arrangements throwing shades ahead and ahead.

BLACKBYRDS DREAMING OF HOLLYWOOD is the albums' opening single and reflects the NOW SOUND of our four piece:
A mellow Vibraphon Hookline appears like a shooting star, remains like a loop ;
Ramming FUZZ guitar tones get ready to rumble with screeching VOX organ sounds;
The Singer intones devotional, while west coast alike harmonies flowing in trying to daze a monster!

Kono Patzki – lead vocals, tambourine & harmonica
As a child Kono listened to a song called Bowie Man by The Wild Ones while he was jumping up and down on bed and screamed like a monkey. That's how he became a singer.

Chris Riza – guitar & vocals
When Chris doesn't talk about music, he writes songs, like a good guy should.
He knows endless things about bands with B, but also shows deep interest in architecture and women in uniform.

Dario Treese – organ & bass (ex-Otis Optic & The Option People)
He is the truely one man group, a genius mind.
Dario can't say if his favourite animal is the madcap or the lizard king, but dead certain he knows how to teach them dancing in the dark.

Christian Schlasy – drums
In chillout rooms well known as Goa Christian this man is a real speed swinging rocker behind his drum set.
Not only he is in love with Arthur Lee's Love, but some people recognized him as the infamous leader of an ongoing Forever Changes Cult.
