Detailierte Künstler Informationen: Sunpath

SUNPATH – the name stands for virtuosity, richness of musical elements, bursting rock sound, but also subtle melodies. The five musicians combine rock, metal, jazz, blues and funk and develop a innovative, unique music.

Sunpath was originally founded in Spring 2004 as “Inner Turbulence”. However, from the original formation are only the musicians Cyril Kajnar and Rafael Sonntag left. After a few live gigs in 2004/05 and having musical differences, SUNPATH broke up with their singer. When the search for a new singer was not succesful, bass player Jan Haas quit, too.

After a long search SUNPATH reformated in the middle of 2006. Original members Cyril Kajnar and Rafael Sonntag were joined by guitarist Felix Starker, Beniamino Alba on bass guitar and Richard Herber on vocals. This quintet started off writing their own material right away, aiming for a full album, in parallel to playing some live shows in the Stuttgart area.

In the middle of 2007 the next reverse: singer Richard Herber quit, leaving the band once again without a singer. This time, a replacement was found within a few weeks in the person of former PICTURE THIS singer Ralf Kierspel. With Ralf on board, the band completed and released their debut album “Acoustic Aphasia” as an independent release – followed by a series of live gigs filled with just over an hour of own material.

Sunpath have just finished their work on the second album and released “Night Dream Call”
