Shapeshift. Four weirdos whose parents were crazy enough to give them instruments. Immanenting enough musical experience to be mistaken for old farts. Total disability to adapt to common musical norms. In result: a sound so unique and self-containing that every stereotype - from NuMetal to Power Metal - has already been referred to. Well, Black Metal surely is something different, but although no responsibility is taken for the correctness of this information: there also seems to be some Thrash Metal inside. Let's just call it "Brain Metal" - brain required while listening.

Well, that's the result of writing music with an open mind. For SHAPESHIFT, the appearance of trumpet and blues harp amongst nonchalant metal riffs is not at all unusual. Dull? Oh right, this really sounds almost awfully dull. (Watch the irony!) Let's integrate a real harp next time. Or maybe a jaw's harp? Well, everything is possible.

And because everything is possible, SHAPESHIFT also deliver a great live experience. No kidding! They play wicked music and - best of all - rock like hell! Why? Because just standing there gazing at your shoes simply would be boring, too.
