Detailierte Künstler Informationen: Monki

After having played 5 years with Dutch band Mc Phonic and a few years with German band Headcleaner René Schuijlenburg (Monki) took a long break. He produced a few cd's and organised a couple of festivals in Germany and the Netherlands but he didn't record any new tracks and also didn't play a single show for more than 15 years.

By the end of 2008 René started to write new songs for a solo project. He wanted to try something new, away from the things he did in the past. As a first result he released a 4 track ep on November 25, 2010. Apart from the single Memories, he released 3 more tracks on the Memories ep: Powers That Be, Four Words and a rare bonus track titled Papa.

In February 2011 Monki will release his album Essential.
