Knitting Turtle is the solo project of the german musician Michael Thomas (*1980) founded in 2005.

In his musical work Knitting Turtle combines instrumental recordings, mainly piano and guitar, with samples and electronic elements. Seeking for influences of various kinds, the resulting sounds are eager to explore the borders of genres.

The songs produced in the first years were published on his first EP "The Four" in 2008.
