The UK’s very own INGESTED are scheming to be on the forefront of the deathcore scene, not only of Britain, not only of Europe, but of the world. Their recent signing to Siege of Amida Records tempts a new age in British brutal deathcore that welcomes the evolution of music without losing its primal aggression.

Originally named Age of Suffering in the bands earlier days, after meeting drummer Lyn Jeffs the band decided to take their level of destruction up a notch and reform as Ingested, a harder and more destructive force with an unstoppable presence in the scene. The band have gained a well-deserved reputation; ripping up the stage with a devastating concoction of relentless battery, crushing riffs and ruthless vocal attacks – their ferocious style isn’t one to be reckoned with.

Their live performances invite insania – breakdowns for headbanging and chaotic sections just perfect for dedicated pitters. After sharing the stage so far throughout their career with bands including Dying Fetus, Napalm death and Skinless, as well as destroying the international crowd of Mountains of Death Festival, Switzerland, the bands hunger for writing brutal music has grown and their new material is faster, heavier and more technical than anything they’ve ever produced.

Their debut recording entitled ‘North-West Slam-Fest’ exploded out of Grindethic Records in 2007 and instantly provoked the extreme metal scene to stand to attention. The split cd with fellow UK bands Crepitation and Kastrated gave Ingested a whirlwind of opportunities and consequently they’re referred to as the most brutal thing to ever come out of the UK. Siege of Amida records snapped up the band in 2008 and Ingested joined the deathcore elite. A fast pace of work has been set for the band, a highly anticipated debut album is to be recorded in October for release in March 2009, when he band will headline an exciting UK tour to be followed up by more international appearances.
