Biography

Éowyn is a Nashville recording artist and has an industrial hard rock style with gothic influences to back her up with a theatrical stage presence. She has had radio play in over 200 cities and has had two Top Twenty National Christian rock singles on the R&R charts. Her first single “Take Me Away” ranked at number #18 and her second single “Hold Me” went up to #15.

She has also had extensive touring experience playing in numerous small and large venues including festivals, bars, youth gatherings and arenas. She has shared the stage with some of the biggest artists in the Christian industry including Krystal Meyers, Petra, Staple, Tait and others. She has toured throughout the U.S from California to Florida showing no signs of stopping.

With two full-length albums under her belt and a third album in the works Éowyn continues to amaze her listeners with honest lyrics and hard hitting vocals. Nashville’s Embassy Music took notice of this and awarded her Grand Prize winning songwriter for her song “Break Free.” She also caught the attention of some of the top producers in the industry including veterans Kevan Cyka (Lifehouse, R.E.M., Hillary Duff), Dan Needham (Stacie Orrico, Steven Curtis Chapman) and Matt Bronleewe (Plumb, Joy Williams).

Despite any success or setbacks Éowyn has encountered, this independent artist continues to push toward her ultimate goal of reaching both the lost and the saved. Her passion for sharing the love of God is evident in each and every performance. Éowyn sums it up best in her online journal when writing “I may be an independent artist, but I am not independent from God.”

In her previous 2008 album, "Silent Screams," the focus was on encouraging those who have been ensnared by depression, anger, loneliness or insecurities to cry out for help from Jesus Christ and from others.

Éowyn's upcoming 2011 release, "Beautiful Ashes," is filled with an industrial blend of electronics, strings, and pounding guitars that range from heart felt ballads to explosive anthems. Produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Disciple, Pillar) at Lakeside Studios, it includes 10 brand new songs.

In her own words, Éowyn describes the meaning behind "Beautiful Ashes". "The purpose behind this album is to encourage others that God is a restorer of hope, and that He is a restorer of dreams.

In 2008 she was forced to announce her departure to the industry due to financial difficulties and was forced to sell everything that had to do with her musical career.

Now in 2011, with what Éowyn describes as "only by God's grace" she is back.

Éowyn says, "My name is actually from the 'Lord of the Rings' books and now movies. My dad was a huge fan of 'Lord of the Rings,' and Éowyn is one of the characters. People always ask me if it's my real name, but it really is."
