Autopilot producer Froyd (Andreas Stollenz, born 1957) lives and works in german capital Berlin.
He started several study courses (f.e. musicology), and finished an apprenticeship as a piano designer, after which he worked for several years in art-trade business (as employee of the „Berliner Ladengalerie“).

Andreas started his first band sessions in 1974 in the practice room of the band „Tangerine Dream“, in 1978 he had his first success with the freerockband „Alganon“. In 1983 he and Belando Bellini founded the band „Bollerman“, with which they caused a controversy because of their partially obscene lyrics.

In 1979 Andreas started to produce his first electronic tracks with his four-track-tapemachine. In 1983 he invented the technique of „pornscratching“, for which he recorded real sounds of sexual intercourse and pressed them on vinyl. Two records with this material were released („the Nesthaken – porn to be wet“, LP, EFA, 1988; „Nesthaken-pornojazzrock-60 minutes of perverse music“, distributed by himself,1992)
He is presenting his invention in 1999 in the well-known german TV-Show „Wat is?“, and is entertaining the audience.

Since 1996 Andreas Stollenz is solely orientated on Ambient, Electro and Tekhouse with psychodelic influences.
