Arcona(arconamusic.com) is a berlin,germany,based project first gathered in 2004.members are Stefan Zehle(git,voc) and Kai Lachmann(b)- both former members of Desmond Q Hirnch, a ´90 Band from Potsdam,Germany, that recorded the wall of sound noise rock album "music"(´97) and later steered to super low post rock ("le voix de la revolution",´99).third member Heiko Kemnitz(dr) played in the San Francisco, bay area scene in the 90ties.
the trio formed to play a mixture of singer/songwriter/neo folk and a little jazz.
Influences are Wilco,E. Smith,W.Oldham,The Soft drugs and many others.
Thes days the band takes a short break because of fatherhood but willing to return soon. meanwhile S.Zehle reactivated his acoustic duet with G.Pohle "Loom"
