Amandra, hidden master behind Ahrpe Records, goes for subtly evolving and droning atmospheres. The French producer exiled in Warsaw illustrates with coherence his own vision of acid and tribal rhythms that can be presented with either bright and soft feelings or through a darker, more disturbed path.

Complex patterns are woven through sustained tone clusters to foster an unlimited sense of energy and focus. Radiant synths glisten over live percussive loops whilst infinite pads wander the boundaries of light and dark. Amandra uses minimalist techniques to build tranquil sonic spaces that evolve on their own accord, making way for carefully mapped out rhythmic cycles. With many experiences in worldwide renowned venues such as Brooklyn Mirage New York, Concrete Paris, Panorama Bar/Berghain Berlin, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Afterlife Ibiza, Shelter Amsterdam with Donato Dozzy or through his Asian Tours in South Korea with Vurt and Japan with Dommune and Contact Tokyo, Vietnam, Taiwan and Lantern Beijing, Amandra distils his always changing and unique live performance with machines only. The French producer adapts his music to where he plays by improvising mind-bending grooves. He creates an overall atmosphere that binds people’s minds together, Amandra makes the night be a whole experience for dancers and listeners : unique music for unique energy.

His initial EP, “Monkaunis” self-released on Ahrpe Records in 2014, has brought him a warm welcoming by his peers. Amandra followed with a series of acclaimed releases on his own imprint, such as his debut album “Drachme Tolosate”, including remixes by Swedish producers Evigt Mörker and Korridor from Northern Electronics.

Taking steps forward, Amandra demonstrates with ease his style through well-known record labels, both for the dancefloor and through some deep moods. His EP “Shota Mariachi” released on Svreca’s label Semantica Records illustrates his ability to create his own, very personal and yet unique universe. This EP has been best described as a concoction of “delicate and bewitching techno.” –Resident Advisor

Amandra released “Dame De Bahia LP”, a 10-tracks double-vinyl album out on Agents Of Time’s record label Obscura Music. LP rhymes with accomplishment, not many producers in the techno scene have released an album with such a worldwide recognition. Amandra lies in some in-between genre with it. Premiered on Groove, the German magazine’s review speaks for itself: “With his specific organic sound design, it’s particularly amazing when Amandra, in the title track “Dame De Bahia” or the feverish “Sidonie”, gives the album a new dynamic. Amandra’s strengths lie in the unexpected, this LP comes up full of surprises.” –Groove

Amandra works regularly with Mattheis, one of the classy Dutch imprint Nous’klaer Audio. They recently released together an EP on Ahrpe as well as a track on Nous’klaer. As a proof of quality, the most renowned and respected producer and music selector, Donato Dozzy, played both releases in his forward thinking sets at Terraforma Festival and Paral-lel Festival.
