academies is a band from cologne and was founded in 2006 by two. together they wrote songs and recorded everything on a DAT machine which was given to them by the ex-keyboarder from alphaville. someday they decided they need friends around to play those songs to an audience. so they invited several bassists, guitarists, sound gurus, rhythm gods and a poet who helped them to develop, play and sing their songs. now it is 2010 and academies is alex, matthi, lars, michi, alesch, volker,

together they have recorded an album whicch will be released later this year.
