Waiting Here is a contemporary worship band from Kansas City, Missouri. The band currently consists of Lead Vocalist and Acoustic Guitarist Daniel Hopkins, Bassist Brian Barber and David Frees on Keyboard.

Waiting Here was formed after the members led worship on a missions trip to New Orleans. The heart and vision of these men is to lead people closer to God through song and deed. “Worship is more than just singing words on a page,” says lead singer Daniel Hopkins. “Worship is living and walking out those words every single day.”

The band’s name actually came from a suggestion from Daniel’s wife and the Bible verse Isaiah 40:31 “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”

The band has currently released a four song E.P. and is working on a full album.
