Vivimancer

ARTIST MANIFESTO
(copied from myspace blog)
"At this time in my life, music--sound, is the primary medium through which I express my ideas and impressions to the world. My sounds are the decay and then the plowing and turning over of the old soil of musical heritage. I utilize primarily analog equipment- tape players and turntables and record much of my source material onto recycled preacher tapes. I use vinyl records of classical music, soundtracks, sound effects, childrens' records, and classic rock and I cause the needle to skip by various means, thereby churning up the old sounds into fodder and decay it by running it through various effects ( pedals and rack-mounts) and sometimes slowing it down, and then mix the different ones together, turning over and mixing the soil into new and fertile ground upon which to stand and perform my Rites. I express my ideas in ritual form, whether the ritual is internal, (as I.N.R.I.), or external, (as Vivimancer). In this way I plant seeds in the fertile soil in order for my works to grow and bear fruit. AMOUN! SO MOTE IT BE!"

vivimancer is M. Scott McGahan.
sometimes he collaborates with The Rye Wolves.
others whom he's worked with on this project include:
Sharalynn (Disharmony of the Spheres)
Two Unknown Men
Steve (EarthQuake RetroFit)

Scott resides in Eugene, OR. His other main projects include I.N.R.I.(it's not really important), Cephalopod, and Ramen BloodClot.
Currently he is working on writing a rock opera. More specifically a Lovecraftian Spaghetti-Western Country-Western/Doom Metal/Noise rock opera.
It is EPIC.
also he is working on collaborations with Rye Wolves. He is teaching them some of his songs so he can have them as a back-up band for them and also he is learning parts for some of their material (rhythm guitar and noisy feedback guitar leads) so that they can blend sets together when they perform together next.
