vGrrr started out dj'ing in the nineties at the local youth club, FENKA, in his hometown Levanger in Norway. Beatmixing everything from Goa-Trance to Hip-Hop. Discovered dancehall-music in the nineties and started spinning riddims on vinyl.
Later on in 2005 while living in the "big" city, Bergen, he re-discovered the UK bass-music scene as searching for new tunes by Sizzla led to the discovery of Grime and Dubstep. After a couple of years pushing this sound on everyone around, he linked up with Per-Anders Hammarström from the infamous reggae-crew Cushion, and together they made a concept called "Basstronomisk Institutt" where the focus would be on bassy electronic music - mostly Dubstep - and everything affiliated.

As Basstronomisk Institutt they threw monthly parties in an bunker 40m underground! Perfect place for raving to loud dubstep! Also doing solo-gigs whenever it was possible vGrrr have till now dj'ed alongside people like Clouds, RSD, Tes La Rok, Bong Ra, Ebola, Daniel Savio, Marcus Price, dj Oneman and Mungo's Hifi to mention a few.
He has played Bergen Reggae-festival, Støy-på-landet festival, Phono-festival and with the Oslo Breakfast Crew at the legendary VILLA-club in Oslo in 2008 (ranked amongst the top 100 clubs on the world by Mixmag in 2009). Basstronomisk Institutt rocked up one year later and got to try their hands on the Function One rig there.. Still feel the rumbling ground under our feet in that dj-booth.. Aah the BASS!!
In 2009 vGrrr moved to Cape Town, South Africa to study film and sound design, and keep on dj'ing and producing that wicked bassmusic.
His first production "Babylon Dread" in 2008 was featured on the first ever Scandinavian Dubstep various artists CD

and the tune "Daytripper" will be released on the forthcoming "Bergensk Undergrunns-elektronikk 2010" on the Basetail label.
vGrrr enjoys all kinds of music, but holds a special love for deep, ruff bassmusic! 2011 is looking to be an exciting year music-wise!
