Trinitones are Trinity College’s all male a capella group. They were set up in 2012 by two students of Trinity’s music department. Around 15 members in total, they have become the university’s most successful singing group with a global reach. They have entertained audiences in a wide variety of venues including Croke Park and The Aviva Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Christchurch Cathedral, The Button Factory, The Sugar Club and Trinity College Chapel. Trinitones are considered festival regulars at both Trinity Ball and Electric Picnic, where they regularly enthrall audiences at least equal in size to the group itself. Trinitones have also toured around the world, and played in packed-out venues as far afield as England, Scotland, Hungary and Australia, the most recent being a tour to continental North America. The group’s repertoire ranges from classic Beatles tracks to more recent hits by the likes of Ariana Grande. They are not only renowned for their harmonic vocalisation but also for entertainment and humour, always leaving audiences wanting more.
