Spawned from the dark and desolate lands of some really fucking cold country, Thundersword is the fabrication of the clashes between good and evil, dragons and knights, and other vicious beasts and respected heroes. The concept of their band revolves around the mighty Thundersword, a weapon of unfathomable power and the power to sunder heaven itself in twain. Undoubtedly and objectively the greatest and most innovative group of artists to ever exist, Thundersword obtained critical claim with their album Nazgul Dragonslayer XVI. Rumors of a new Thundersword album and various Thundersword merchandise such as Thundersword action figures have been circulating the web, though the band members have not confirmed a release date for either.
The band formed back in 1993 at a New Year's gathering for Dungeons and Dragons fans. Upon realizing that they were all playing Barbarian/Bard/Warmage multiclass characters, they started jamming together in the sewers of New York City, writing such fan favorites as "I Saw the Future (Through the Eyes of a Spaceman)" and the prequel to their breakthrough album Nazgul Dragonslayer XVI, "Nazgul Dragonslayer XIII: From the Tomb of the Lord of Sea Monsters."
As of 2011, the band is currently working on their new album with their new lead singer Hugar Hellingstone. Hugar is said to have a powerful, brutal voice that was forged in the fires of Mount Doom, in Mordor. Having finally sealed the deal on a new singer after their previous singer died from drinking several gallons of whiskey and rum, the band was ready to begin recording a new album. The band has decided to continue their unique stylistic approach to their music, which has won over legions of fans since their first release, "Tales from the Molten Core of Magma'Harah, The Living Mountain, Born from the Ash of the Dying World."
