There are 2 The Protocols:

1)The Protocols are a young band from Liverpool, they play rock/alternative music.

They formed in about 2006, with a few different members and a different name, they soon changed to protocols, and some members left and more joined.
The line-up has recently changed again and is currently standing with the following members:

Matt Bowers - Vocals/Guitar
Ari Papadopoulos - Bass
Cavan Power O'Keeffe - Drums
Jack Finnigan - Guitar
Joel Bentley - Keyboard

They play frequent local gigs such as Barfly, Melo Melo, The Picket, 02 academy, Cabin Club, Barcelona Bar & Zanzibar.
