Artist Detailed Info: The Magicake

The Magicake are Jack, Joe and Dirty Lulu. The band was born in the late summer of 2002 under the name "Vanity Kills" in Padua, north-east Italy.
In may 2003 came out their first single: "Red Lipstick", a 12" then re-released on may 2004 (Scrambled records-Germany) that had a good success all over the world. The song has been played on BBC1 (Annie Nightingale) and Ministry of Sound radio (Dj Hal)
They changed their name in "The Magicake" when they realized their first producer was a cunt and they fucked the contract off.
During the live shows, Dirty Lulu moves like an enraged anti-barbie, while Joe and Jack play old keyboards from the 80's and a guitar. On the back of the stage there are projected self-made videos created by video artists BNTMRC77& Dee-Yevotchka and the band. They played live in many clubs all over Europe with Chicks on Speed, Adriano Canzian, Zombie Nation, Spektrum, Technotronic.
2 Many Djs play their music, Christopher Just and Adriano Canzian (International Gigolo rec.) have remixed their tracks as well as Motel Connection.

12” I was dancing with Boy George out on September 2005 on Mofa Schallplatten/Neuton/Germany with remixes by Christopher Just and Adriano Canzian.
I was dancing with Boy George - Adriano Canzian remix- has been included on Electric Pop 4 compilation (Mofa Schallplatten/Neuton), out on December 2005.
LP "Botoxxx", long play of the band, has been released in April 2006 by Piloft Records.
