Based in York, The Dark Roads music is best described as anthemic alt.rock with a shot of the blues. Think Ryan Adams and Crazy Horse cranking it up to 11!
The Dark Roads formed in early 2009 playing blues tinged rock with Americana influences. Bringing something a little different to the York music scene, they went on to play successful gigs alongside 'The Band of Heathens', 'people: in airports', 'the Buccaneers', 'Last Harbour' and 'Joey and the Deacons'.
April 2010 shall see The Dark Roads work on their first E.P. alongside more high profile gigs both in the York area and further afield. On May 1st The Dark Roads will be supporting Stacey Earle at the Duchess in York, sister of alt-country singer Steve Earle.
