TEC (often known as TEC Luciano or Luwhop Hussein) is an American underground rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, widely recognized as a self-styled "poetic activist". He gained prominence in the Southern hip-hop scene for his distinct style, claiming to be one of the very first artists from his hometown to heavily integrate Auto-Tune into his music. TEC co-founded the Spider Nation movement alongside fellow Baton Rouge rapper Maine Musik. They released a collaborative mixtape titled Spider Nation in 2017. Early in his career, he signed to Romeo Miller’s No Limit Forever Records (founded by Master P's son) and dropped a mixtape under the label in 2012. He later left due to creative differences and legal issues. In 2019, TEC famously feuded with Atlanta superstar Young Thug and the YSL Records roster over the use of spider-centric brand imagery.
