Artist Detailed Info: Static Reply

Static Reply is a pop-punk band from Albuquerque, New Mexico formed in late December of 2008 by Michael Candelaria, Tyler DeJong, and John Candelaria the band started writing songs, but picked up Steven Lackey in late February, and then Ross Vogel in June. Loaded with the melodic rifts of Blink-182 and the complex, fluid piano style of Jacks Mannequin and the Fray. This mash-up of conflicting genres truly shows that opposites do attract. Brothers John, and Mike Candelaria share the microphone, and don't hesitate to press their natural influences into each and every song. Static Reply is a band that not only wants to create music, but also create something that pushes the boundaries of today's genres and further progress the music scene. Static Reply is currently recording their first full length album at Wall Of Sound studios with Producer John Wall who has won countless awards including ten music awards for best production and engineering. An Ep for this album was released August 27, 2010 and was named WILDCARD Ep. It contained three tracks including "She's Too Religious (The Mormon Song)," "Stop!" and "Wall Of Sound" which the band named after John Wall's studio in order to show their appreciation. Static Reply's songs "Wall Of Sound" and "She's Too Religious (The Mormon Song)" were nominated to compete in the New Mexico Music Awards in January of 2011. "Wall Of Sound" was nominated to compete for Best Rock-Adult-Contemporary Song of 2010 while "She's Too Religious (The Mormon Song)" was nominated to compete in Best Rock-Punk Song of 2010. Static Reply also won Gorilla Productions New Mexico Battle of the Bands for 2010, and will be competing in nationals in February of 2011. This local Albuquerque band is on a road that only leads up.
