Static Rain formed in December 2008, driven by a passion for both electronic music and retro synths Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow joined forces with the ethos to never be afraid of challenging convention and doing things differently. The music has an electropop feel and is heavily influenced by 80's maestro's new order as well as other more recent artists the killers. Following their debut single release 'Aint true' Static Rain hope to build a strong fan base and gig right accross the U.K. with ambitions to extend on the current set and release an album before the end of september. Recent achievements for the band include radio airtime and an appearance as featured artists in the internationally sold magazine computer music.
