Artist Detailed Info: Solid Light

Creating a genre-bending blend of electronic music and underground samples, the Melbourne based artist Solid Light (a.k.a. Dan Steele) is working hard developing his own unique style.

Influenced by a diverse range of artists from Gerling and The Avalanches, to Gotye, Underworld, and through to the classic David Bowie, Solid Light has been developing a song writing style since he was first introduced to software synthesizers around five years ago.

The HEAD TO THE LIGHT EP is the second and latest release from Solid Light.
Comprising of 3 tracks, the EP is themed on the ‘after-life’ and the mystery of what happens when you die. It’s a darker, heavier sound that represents the unique new direction of Solid Light.
