There are several acts called Slow.

1) SLOW was a four-piece metal band from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, active from 1999 to 2001. Their sound blended elements of Industrial Metal, Hip-Hop, Hardcore, Metalcore, & even Goth Metal.

Guitarist Adam Cullen & keyboardist Ashleigh Gillespie began writing music together in August 1999, leading to the formation of SLOW the following month. They soon recruited vocalist Justin Hartgrave, a high school friend & former singer of RustProof, followed by drummer Josh Newcomb. Finding a permanent bassist proved difficult—Seth Thorpe joined in November 1999 but later departed. Gary Speth took over bass duties in April 2001.

From their earliest rehearsals, SLOW developed a distinctive sound that helped them gain recognition within the metal scene of Iowa—especially the Cedar Rapids one. The band had a demo recorded in 2000, which was handed out at their shows, before later working on new tracks & planning their first full-length album. Despite continuing to work on new material, SLOW ultimately disbanded, playing their final show on August 31st, 2001, where they handed out their final release, titled "Farewell…"

2) Slow is an ambient drone (early) and atmospheric funeral doom metal (later) band from Belgium, formed in in 2007 by Lore & Déhà (of a variety of other projects and bands including Acathexis, COAG, Cult of Erinyes, Déhà, God Eat God, God Enslavement, Imber Luminis, Maladie, Merda Mundi, Schmerz, Sorta Magora, The Penitent, We All Die (Laughing), Wolvennest, Yhdarl, and Ignifer).

3) Slow (Vellu Maurola, b. 1975 in Vantaa, Finland) — formerly known as DJ Slow — is a Finnish DJ and music producer. His first encounters with hip hop acts such as Run-D.M.C., Public Enemy and Eric B. & Rakim led him to pursue career in DJing. Later on he ventured into making music and remixing others tracks. He is known for his smooth, yet groovy nu-jazz style as well as versatile producer of commercial music for high profile projects for advertising, TV and cinema.
