Biographies of Keith Raby and Jenny Cox, Songwriters

KEITH RABY has enjoyed a successful career within the music industry, attaining a wealth of experience both as a live musician and in his work behind the scenes as a celebrated technical engineer. He has played keyboard and guitars with several bands, completed sell-out tours of Hong Kong, New York, Germany and Dubai and is still pulling the crowds at venues across the UK with his highly acclaimed band, Vienna.

In the late eighties Keith was a partner in the prolific R Studios which were regularly frequented by the likes of Mungo Jerry, Sweet, Freddie and the Dreamers and Bernie Nolan: all of whom sought Keith’s reputed engineering skills in order to enhance the quality of their recordings. During his time at the studios Keith discovered his passion for composing.

Keith supplied backing music for television stations for many years and is credited with composing music for The Paul Zenon Show, Funny Girls - A Serious Business, as well as documentaries on the History Channel and Channel 4 and more than two dozen holiday/travel programmes. In addition to these achievements Keith has also written numerous jingles for radio stations.

Of all his experiences within the music industry the one ambition that has never diminished is Keith’s resolution to write chart toppers. This resolve was compounded when he met his current writing partner: Jenny Cox.

JENNY COX is a vivacious and enigmatic young lady with a breathtaking energy for life. Jenny’s TV debut, on Granada‘s ‘Can You Do It On TV?’ resulted in her subsequent appearance in a HTV pop video. This early screen appearance (Jenny was 11) left her in no doubt about following a career in the music and entertainment industry. On leaving school she joined a band, went on the road, and realised the success of touring with a full diary of dates.

Jenny penned her first song, the hauntingly beautiful Rachael’s Dance at the age of fourteen. Since teaming up with Keith the pair have produced three albums of stunning material. Their eclectic output runs through a wealth of genres including pop, country, rock ballads, reggae and even songs with Christian themes.

Their combination of experience, innovative writing skills and musical ability has ignited an explosion of creativity. The song-writing partnership of Raby/Cox is causing a buzz of excitement amongst the limited audience to which they, so far, have been exposed.
