
Shinshi todoroku, gekijou no gotoku. (神使轟く、激情の如く。 "The divine angel roars, like a passion"), commonly abbreviated as SHINGEKI (神激, "Godly"), is a Japanese female group formed on September 30, 2017. SHINGEKI blend metal instrumentals infused with electronic sounds and idol performance style.
The group consists of six vocalists and a manipulator, creating a unique blend of clean vocals, rap, scream, and shout, combined with rock elements. Their performances are characterized by high-energy live shows that engage the audience, blending the intensity of both idol and rock music. Most of their lyrics are written by one of the original members, Ikugaki Imoko (生牡蠣いもこ).
Each member adopts a unique stage name based on their own preferences or previous online personas. The current lineup includes Ikugaki Imoko (生牡蠣いもこ, Vocal, Lyrics), Jikkuri Kotono (実久里ことの, Vocal, Clean), Ruisen Amane (涙染あまね, Vocal, Scream), Mikasa Eva (三笠エヴァ, Vocal, Scream), Futsuka Yoiko (二日よいこ, Vocal, Rap), and TiNA (Vocal, Clean), with GOD-chan acting as the manipulator. Former members include Usako Minano (皆野うさこ), Hibiki Nobishiro (のびしろ ひびき), and several others who left the group over time.
SHINGEKI has been recognized for their high-energy performances and creativity, being selected as a next-generation idol by Nikkei MJ and named in the "2021 Breakthrough Artists" by AWA.
Throughout their career, SHINGEKI has consistently released music and performed live. Their debut single, Sensen Fukoku (宣戦布告), was released in November 2017, followed by several other singles and albums, like the album RAGNARΦCK released on October 21, 2020. In March 2022, they held a solo performance at the Nippon Budokan, a significant milestone in their career, followed by a major solo performance at Makuhari Messe in May 2023.
SHINGEKI collaborate with well-known Japanese artists from the rock scene and appear on various music and television programs, further establishing their presence in the Japanese music industry.
