Shalle (or DJ Shalle) is a rapper from the Latvian city of Cesis (Wenden in German), who made a number of humorous rap songs. Some of his work are parodies of popular rap songs. It is known that Shalle made these songs before leaving his home country for Ireland, where he went working. When he returned from work in Ireland, he discovered that his songs had become extremely popular, although they spread only through internet as a very underground thing. In some parts of Latvia Shalle is regarded as a national hero, for instance, some people who are more use to listening to heavy metal music in the department of history of The Latvian university are huge fans of Shalle.
