Sementhal

Sementhal originally formed in 1998, is a industrial metal band from the western region of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Following the release of their first demo, Sangre Para La Bestia, the group began prioritizing their live performance by integrating a distinct and evolving visual aesthetic involving specific costumes and face paint. This focus on image became a defining characteristic of the band alongside their shifting musical style.
During the early 2000s, the band gained significant national exposure through the demo Insert More Coins (2001) and their cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Their recognition grew after winning the "Metal Gods" contest hosted by the Tiempos Violentos radio program, leading to frequent airplay and opportunities to perform with major acts across Argentina. In 2005, due to legal issues regarding the trademark for the name Sementhal, the group officially changed their name to Bruthal 6. They subsequently signed with the Discos Milagrosos label and released their debut studio album in mid-2006.
