Artist Detailed Info: Psykos

Psykos is a three-piece band – though often assisted, during recordings and performances of varying nature, by several other musicans – based in Skara, Sweden.

Jacob – Vocals, bass, guitars, xylophone
Per – Drums
Jonathan – Guitars, backing vocals, harp, gramophone sounds

The sound is a mixture of many ” genres “; ranging from modern crust to post-rock ~ ambient Born in early 2009 with the intension of making something really honest and ” real “.

Our debut release/demo/promo (call it what you want) was released in December 2010. It was recorded during a somewhat ” chaotic ” period of time, between the autumn of 2009 and the spring of 2010 in Studio Skatan (at the time being, equiped with basically one decent microphone), by the band.

With Hospitalsgården, we were aiming to ” portray ” our emotions and reflections tied to the area [ Hospitalsgården ] and the time of recording and to by the release spread our music (like a demo). Hospitalsgården deals with existential angst, desperation and the absence (happiness) of these two.

The philosophy of Psykos is to merge (visual) art, music and literary art (or lyrics if you will) into one entity. A superb blend of post-rock shifting to post-hardcore touch based crusty vibe. Great guitars work and powerful stuff without a doubt.
