Project Herpes

Many people wonder about the history of Project Herpes, a band from Fredrikstad. The story is a long and exciting tale of friendship, courage, shrimp fishing and money. It all began in 2009, when Jørgen, the captain, was looking for a crew to his shrimp boat. After applying for qualified people on the internet, he found three young boys who were ready for an adventure at sea.

They sailed out on the high seas to fish for shrimp, but they had little luck. They ended up with nothing but scrap. Sondre, who had amputated legs and was in a wheelchair, was a temperemental guy. He screamed and cursed. Even was the cabin boy who hated everything. He believed that they should stop fishing shrimps, but they did not listen to him. Simen was the strong man with a beard, who always lifted the net out of the water with his bare hands. One day, Sondre took control over the vessel, and he sailed us into the worst storm the world had ever seen. Sondre had a showdown with Jesus out on the open seas, and he won against both Jesus and the storm.

The same could not be said for the other fishing boats who did not confront Jesus. They were crushed in the storm. When the storm had calmed, they were left alone at sea, and got loads of shrimp. After a while, they were rich, so they founded Hoppla Hesten Shrimp Company. You may have heard about it, because it is the world's most famous shrimp company.

Then one day while they were out fishing, The White Stripes came sailing in a boat, and they held a concert for them. They then realized they had to be a cool rock band. They used all the shrimp money to buy instruments, and then they founded Project Herpes. Now they have recorded the album "Bear", and they have turned their back to shrimps for good. Hoppla Hesten is no longer a shrimp company, but a record company.
