Maranatha! Music is a Christian music record label founded in 1971 as a non-profit ministry of Calvary Chapel. Some of the early Maranatha! Music, in the Jesus Movement era, were groups and artists such as [artists]Sweet Comfort Band[/artists], [artists]Love Song[/artists], [artists]Chuck Girard[/artists], [artists]Children of the Day[/artists], [artists]The Way[/artists] etc. In addition to the pop rock artists, there was the Praise Strings series, worship songs in a classical style. The Praise Strings series includes the most popular albums in the history of Maranatha! music. The music on these classic albums spans denominational boundaries.
