Artist Detailed Info: Pegasissy

There are two bands called Pegasissy:

1) Pegasissy is a one-man queercore folk band. Russell Melia of Eugene, Oregon, began playing under the name in 2005. He has released two albums, Only the Sound Between Us and Union, with the record collective Open Face Records, as well as an emo folk album called Fairy Stories under his previous band name, Rosemary Melia.

An album of new recordings, Several Other Friends, is scheduled for early 2010. Though the new record will feature both the usual mandolin-and-whiskey-fueled reflections on promiscuity and dissipation, Melia's recent gender transition will no doubt be reflected in the lyrics and vocals.

2) Pegasissy is also an indie shoegaze band from Riverside, CA.
