Patient Zero

There are at least 5 artists with the name Patient Zero:

1. Death metal from San José, Costa Rica

Bandcamp

2. The second Patient Zero is an electronic music artist from the UK who has released over twenty albums since 2008, including her latest album Brutalette, released in 2021, and a compilation of her earliest albums named Archive 1.0 in 2013.

Patient Zero helped create the netlabel 'Electropoetic'.

3. The third is a fast hardcore band from Boston, UK, who started out as a 4-piece about 5 years ago.

At the time, the members of this particular iteration of Patient Zero were in other bands but they wanted to play fast hardcore like Limp Wrist & Urko, they got together and did just that.

They played a few gigs, did a demo or two, a split 7" w/Hryðjuverk! on Holy Shit Records [Leeds], played in Iceland then broke up due to personal differences.

Then they got asked to play a one-off gig [which never happened] & got Tommy, then Luke to fill in on bass. They played a load more gigs then got Daz to play bass & Luke switched to second guitar. Around this time, Joe quit so Matt said he'd play drums. New record in the works!

4. The fourth Patient Zero was an Estonian post hardcore band active around the late nineties.

5. The fifth Patient Zero is an international collaboration between Waatu (Canadian beat writer, MC & producer) and Shep (UK bass player and FX obsessive), bringing bass heavy beats, guest MC performances from around the world & grooves to die for. This is hip-hop blended with electronica at it’s finest.

The Patient Zero Project remains a truly international entity, expanding on it’s global reach with each and every release.

Patient Zero is:
Waatu – Beats, Breaks & Post-Production
Shep – Bass, Noise & Sonic Deconstruction
