Overshock is a metal band from Costa Rica created in 2018 when Tony (rhythm guitarist), Steve (drummer) and Alonso (lead guitarist) came together to start the project’s first steps.

The concept of Overshock goes way back to the early 2010s in the womb of a central-american catholic high school where Tony and Alonso started to enjoy metal and play guitar, this in response to the negativity and hypocrisy lived in that place, dreaming that one day they could complete the band and finally play on stage.

The band went through some lineup changes until David “Gatcam” joined in 2020 and became the band’s vocalist. The four of them spent time playing, preparing and stepping up their game together until they were ready to write some original music. With the arrival of Erick "Rebo" in 2021 as the bassist, the band was complete and started working on their first EP around early 2022.

Overshock wrote, recorded and produced their first EP, "Broken Thoughts" all by themselves in the zenit of a small room in Hatillo. The EP consists of 5 songs and was released in November. With that, the band is set up to enter the metal scene strongly.
