OneUp Studios was founded in 2002 as a venue to explore and promote video game music, co-founded by both Dale North and Mustin. Since its humble beginnings as posts between the two founders on an internet message board, OneUp Studios has grown into a full blown community for fans and artists of video game music. The founders have made numerous creative alliances with filmmakers, artists, and game makers as well as fellow musicians, leaving their mark on the musical gaming culture. OneUp Studios has created, collaborated on, and released over a dozen albums in the past half decade, and has been featured in publications such as Electronic Gaming Monthly, the Official PlayStation Magazine, and Animerica.
