Part of a Congolese-Canadian family, Northside05 (also known as 0hhfifth) gained recognition through tracks like "CAMPING" and "CODEINE". His music often reflected the street life of Regent Park, a community that has historically faced significant challenges with violence and systemic issues. On March 12, 2024, Northside05’s family was the victim of a devastating shooting in Regent Park that gained national attention, His older brother, Benedict Johnson Kongolo (known by the rap name JoEazy), was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The shooting began in a townhome on Arnold Avenue and spilled into the streets. Joeazy allegedly shot and killed their father and their younger brother, D.K.
