Norrwake is a dark ambient and drone project built around vast spaces, slow movement and the atmosphere of the North.
Inspired by fog-covered fjords, deep water, wind, distant signals and isolated landscapes, Norrwake creates immersive soundscapes from evolving drones, atmospheric textures and field recordings.
Rather than following traditional song structures, the music unfolds gradually — leaving space for silence, distance and subtle changes in sound.
The project moves between dark ambient, drone, atmospheric ambient and cinematic soundscape, with an emphasis on depth, stillness and a sense of place.
Norrwake’s first release, “Where the Fog Remains,” introduces this world through deep drones, water, distant textures and a cold, spacious Nordic atmosphere.
