Artist Detailed Info: Negative Proof

Negative Proof is among the most anticipated new progressive metal bands to hit the music scene. Hailing from South Florida, this six-piece group incorporates multiple musical genres ranging from heavy metal to classical, combined to create Negative Proof’s distinctive metal sound with melodic vocals reminiscent of a strong R&B background.

Negative Proof was founded in early 2010 by bassist and drummer Corey Santanelli and guitarists Carmine Scandura and John Blanchett. Santanelli and Scandura previously collaborated in local South Florida rock band, Horizonfall, who gained local and national exposure, performing at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles and opening for rock band Hinder’s 2007 tour. Santanelli and Scandura broke from the rock scene to join forces with Blanchett and entered the ever-growing world of metal, where their true passion lies.

Currently, Negative Proof is in the studio working on their debut album which will include a variety of songs showcasing the band’s raw talent and songwriting ability. The album is being mastered by Tommy Hansen of Jailhouse Studios, whose mastering credits include Helloween and Jorn. The band anticipates completion of their album in Summer 2011 and has already received great reviews from various booking agents and record labels.
