There is more than one artist/band named Naphta:
1. Naphta is a DJ and producer hailing from Wrocław, Poland. Also one half of Polish DJ duo, Phat Trakz and host of Wroclaw’s infamous Loud & Clear parties, Naphta takes inspiration from a variety of electronic stylings, with a thick dose of soul and southern rap and acid techno thrown in for good measures.
Naphta is a firm believer that emotional energy beats adherence to particular sounds, keeping his eyes out for the structure of chords and melodies.
A participant in the Red Bull Music Academy 2011, the future looks bright for this youngster.
2. Naphta was a five-piece heavy rock band based in Paris, France. After 3 self-produced recordings and about 30 shows, they disbanded in March 2008.
