Multiple Places was a legendary New Orleans-based rock band formed in 1983 by Marc Boudousquie (bass), Duncan McCord (lead vocals & keyboards), Rodney Rollins (drums), and Settly (guitar & vocals). They were known for upbeat original songs and theatrical stage shows influenced by such diverse styles as post punk, progressive rock, and New Orleans R&B. They appeared on MTV's "The Cutting Edge" in April 1986, a showcase of unsigned bands, and performed at SxSW in March 1988. Between 1984 and 1990, Multiple Places had a number of their original songs receive regional radio air play. A fixture on the local live music scene, in 1989, they released their only album, "Duncan," on Martini Records, following the death of Duncan McCord in 1988. The band continued to perform sporadically with various line-ups into the 1990s.
