Morpheus Masque was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in late 2011. Playing a classic death metal style mixed with black metal influences, the two-man band cites groups such as Death, Immortal, Agalloch, King Diamond, and Morbid Saint as influences. However, the band members' actual musical tastes vary widely, comprising all styles of metal and even some other genres like neoclassical, jazz, and pop music. Morpheus Masque hopes to release a debut 7" by the end of 2012.
