Artist Detailed Info: Moriah

1) Massachusetts’ progressive/power metal group that was active in the early 1990s. They released a couple of demos and an EP. All material appears on the 2CD compilation "Fallen Fortress", released by Arkeyn Steel Records from Greece in 2010.

2) Hard rock/glam metal band from Rochester, NY that was formed in 1986. Broke up in 1993.

The band soon became very popular in the upstate NY region during the late 80's-early 90's. In 1991 the band released a self titled 5 song ep. Included on the disc was the power ballad "Sun Always Shines". The song soon became a staple for Local airplay in Rochester, NY on 96.5 WCMF and wound up on the stations top 50 most requested songs of that year. In 1993 the band released the full length CD "Mirror Man" Again, program directors could not resist the melodic stylings of Moriah and were soon slamming the airwaves with yet another power ballad entitled "Dreamin' about you". Moriah continued touring through 1993 but disbanded later that year. In the summer of 2004 the band reunited for one special show and released its third CD "Unreleased & Unplugged". The disc contains 4 unreleased studio tracks, 4 unreleased unplugged tracks from the ep & Mirror Man as well as radio spots, an interview and a 1996 reunion jam.
