Artist Detailed Info: Minithrone

Minithrone is an influential Norwegian black metal band. They formed in 1988 as a Satanic Jazzcore band, but after embracing the black metal style in 1991, they became a driving force in the Norwegian black metal scene. For most of this period Minithrone has consisted of just two musicians, Jostein Muz Thomassen and A Small boy, who have sought to remain outside the music mainstream. Since 2006 their work has incorporated more crust punk traits.

The band that would become Minithrone formed during 1986 in Bergen, Norway. They were a Black metal group by the name of Gravfest whose members were all very tall and angry, although one of the band members had amusing man boobs. In 1988 the band changed their name to Minithrone and all but two of the band members left due to . During 1988 and 1989 the band independently released four demo tapes: Land of Weed, A New Homeboi, Thulcandrizzle Ma Nizzle, and Cromlech.
