Artist Detailed Info: Mental Cure

Mental Cure was a supergroup project by some fellow musicians and friends all who got their musical training at the respected Stange videregående skole (Stange Highschool).

Karl-Åge Harviken, which was the lead singer and guitarist, barks the vocals with a James Hetfield/Åge Aleksandersen touch. The lyrics are taking typically puberty problems into account. The bass was treated with virtuosity by Tord Øverland Knudsen. He was also known for his extensive collection of pink Britney-tops. Together with the drum virtuoso Øyvind Minsaas a solid and tight rhythm foundation was laid down. In addition, the many intricate keyboard licks was made by Rune Flobakk, which was clearly inspired by various composing techniques as counterpoint and DRW (down-right-wanking).

All in all the music is baked into highly proffesional riffs and musical perspectives, and the Mental Cures own way of expressing english phrases makes them a certain hit.
