Marcela Oroši, known just as Marcela, is a Croatian singer-songwriter known for blending pop and pop-rock influences with darker, cinematic production styles. She first gained public recognition as a contestant on the Croatian talent show "Hrvatska traži zvijezdu" before later becoming the lead vocalist of the Dutch-Croatian band Luminize. During her time with the group, she performed internationally and appeared on The Voice of Holland, where the band reached the live shows stage.

Following the release of Luminize’s debut album All or Nothing in 2018, Marcela gradually shifted focus towards a solo career. Her solo material combines contemporary pop production with rock-influenced vocals and themes centred around relationships, identity and emotional conflict.

She released a number of Croatian-language singles throughout the early 2020s, including “Nismo isti svijet” and “Ovako ne ide”, before gaining wider national attention with “Gasoline”, her entry for Dora 2024. The song introduced a more polished pop-rock sound with electronic influences and became one of her most recognisable releases.

In 2026, Marcela released the single “Hate That I Love Ya”, a dark pop-rock track written in collaboration with Dutch producers Daniel van den Brink, Bjørgen van Essen and Amanda Collis. According to Marcela, the song had originally been considered as a potential Dora submission before she ultimately selected “Gasoline”. The single continued her move toward darker visual aesthetics and more internationally oriented production.

Marcela’s music has often been characterised by emotionally driven lyrics, raspy vocal delivery and a mixture of mainstream pop melodies with alternative and rock-inspired elements. Influences from late 2000s and early 2010s pop-rock and dance-pop can frequently be heard throughout her work.
