Since 2012 these four young musicians from Leverkusen, Aachen and the Eifel create their very own style of German-speaking rock. The distinctive songwriting of lead singer Philipp Höger combined with the eclectic musical influences of the band members determine the sound of LEAC. Their songs attract through well thought-out arrangements and an interesting mixture of heavier guitar riffs and catchy melodies.
The band originated as a trio. Philipp Höger and Johannes Fabry met during their first week of studies and founded the band together with original drummer Justus Boddenberg, who they knew through a mutual friend. The repertoire from Philipp's singer-songwriter days prove popular to the rest the band. Their goal was to raise Philipp's songwriting to a new level by putting it into the context of a full band. Also, at that time they decided to call themselves LEAC, an acronym composed of their hometowns.
About one year after foundation the band realised that their complex arrangement ideas could hardly be performed by three musicians, so Mario Zietz was introduced as a new guitar player and forth band member. Ever since the diversity of his guitar playing is an important part of LEAC‘s sound. In December 2014 Patrick Wilken took the role of the drummer.
With him the band conducted drum recordings for their first LP. After that, many months of recording the other instruments, mixing and detailed work in the home studio were to follow. Finally, in Semtember 2016 the band released the resulting self-titled debut album which is now available on all popular music platforms.
