Laymar are a three piece experimental post-rock band from Manchester, UK.

Layered soundscapes with guitar and bass guitar picking out the melody, synthed loops, keyboards and programmed beats and blips added to live drumming. The band mix time signatures, beats and rhythms and their music can sometimes be dark and atmospheric, epic and melodic, tense and dramatic. In 2007 the band was asked to play the Glastonbury Festival.

Now signed to TV Records (Tenor Vossa Records) - home of Breathless, Bender and Moly - their debut album "In Strange Lines & Distances" was released on 2nd June 2008. Pre-release reviews were very encouraging with the word "outstanding" a common denominator.
