Artist Detailed Info: Laperrera

Christian Alejandro Montañez Acevedo,
known profesionaly as LAPERRERA is a
musical storyteller based in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. His style, influenced mainly by
puertorrican jazz master Miguel Zenón is
focused on innovating the musical and
cultural traditions of his homeland. This
mision is also carried out through his
entrepreneurial efforts as founder and leader
of LA702, a live entertainment powerhouse
specializing in the development of
independent music artists. Working closely
with producer Aurelio Adasme, his 2020
debut mixtape "Palis" introduced him to the
rising trap movement of Rio Piedras at the
time. Followed by his sophomore effort
"FELICIDADES FRANKIE" in 2022, PERRERA
demonstrated his ability to elaborate
soundscapes and complex emotive
storytelling. After, 2023 saw the birth of his
collaborative project "BATALLÓN SÓNICO"
with bandmates Julio Del Hoyo and Aurelio
Adasme alongside a wide range of
collaborations such as "Código Remix" with
Bendi La Bendición/Julio Del Hoyo and
"Microrrelatos" with Guada, leading to the
release of 2024's "FELICIDADES FRANKIE
(DELUXE)" (a compilation of all of the songs
performed and inspired by touring during the
2023 and 2024 era). Currently, he's working
on his upcoming third studio album, inspired
by his experiences as a plena performer with
the Carolina based ensamble TRIPLENA. In
his own words: "soy escritor, baterista
percusionista, rapero, cantante, empresario y
puertorriqueño".
